Matura Support Program (MSP) and Foundational Courses for University Studies (FOCUS) 

Looking to boost your chances of success in the Matura and beyond?  

The Matura Support Program (MSP) offers FREE tutoring, English classes, and university prep activities for high school students in Vienna. Whether you need help with your pre-scientific paper (VWA) or want to explore university options, MSP has you covered!  

Applications are open now, and the deadline is October 1, 2024  Don't miss out on this incredible opportunity to prepare for your future. 

The Matura Support Program (MSP) is dedicated to empowering disadvantaged high school students in Vienna by offering tailored academic support and guidance. Focused on learners who face challenges due to language barriers, socioeconomic factors, or lack of similar opportunities, MSP provides a pathway to success in higher education. Through personalized tutoring, English classes, and university prep, MSP helps students thrive and achieve their full potential. 

Who can apply? 

Students in the last two years of high school, attending a public school in specified districts, or those from non-university family backgrounds, or where German is not the only language spoken at home, are encouraged to apply.   

Deadline: October 1, 2024   

Program Start Date: First week of November 2024

FOCUS- Seize your Future! 

The FOCUS Program is your chance to break down barriers and unlock your full potential! FOCUS @CEU aims to support marginalized adult learners by offering educational tools that foster personal development, critical thinking, and leadership skills. This new access program targets youth who face barriers to higher education, providing university level courses in English and German language courses and individual mentorship, workshops, and community engagement activities. Participants in FOCUS will also get a chance to attend university-related events, fostering a clearer understanding of their academic and career goals.  FOCUS is open to participants both in and outside of Vienna—and throughout the E.U./E.E.A —through online attendance. This free, supportive program offers mentorship, workshops, and access to university events, helping you develop critical thinking and leadership skills while exploring the path to higher education.

Program Details:  

Free of charge, the FOCUS program offers a robust set of activities to empower marginalized adult learners and support them on their educational journeys.   

Who can apply? 

You can apply if you answer yes to all of the following questions: 

  • Are you over 18 and have completed at least a high school degree? 
  • Are you interested in university studies, but circumstances have made it difficult (for example, due to migration, displacement, or being the first in your family to attend university)? 
  • Do you speak English at least at an advanced B1 or B2 level? 
  • Do you reside within the EU or European Economic Area and your citizenship or legal status allows you to attend university courses?
