Elkana Center selected to coordinate external evaluation of EQAR

The European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR) announced on 14 December that the Yehuda Elkana Center for Higher Education (CEU YECHE) was selected to coordinate the EQAR external evaluation.

The course intends to help universities develop their own internal quality assurance and enhancement processes – including institutional self-studies, preparations for accreditations, program-reviews, faculty and course evaluations, evaluation of teaching and learning, quality of management and student services - and coordinate their efforts to ensure that the outcomes and processes of university teaching (including face-to-face, online and blended teaching) meet local and international standards simultaneously.

With the launch of new interdisciplinary BA programs at CEU, it is essential to consider successful approaches and strategies for teaching undergraduates. The CTL team has prepared a comprehensive manual for CEU faculty on key issues to consider when teaching undergraduate students. In an opening chapter, Jelena Belic outlines general considerations concerning what makes teaching undergraduates different from graduate education and reflecting on the issue of how to teach them how to learn.
