June 28, 2021, Vienna – Central European University (CEU) is pleased to announce the winner of the tenth annual European Award for Excellence in Teaching in the Social Sciences and Humanities as Prof. Dr. Maria Kaika of the University of Amsterdam. The prestigious European award is accompanied by the €5,000 Diener Prize, and will be presented at CEU’s Opening Ceremony in September 2021.

Council of Europe selects YECHE and GOAF to undertake a study on the fundamental values of Higher Education and Quality Assurance

The Council of Europe (CoE) announced on 14 June that the Yehuda Elkana Center for Higher Education (CEU YECHE) and the OSUN Global Observatory on Academic Freedom (GOAF) were selected to undertake a study on the relationship between the fundamental values of Higher Education and Quality Assurance.
