The Global Teaching Fellowship Program (GTFP) supports advanced CEU doctoral students and recent alums in their teaching development. During the fellowship period, Fellows teach at another institution or for students outside of CEU degree programs while receiving financial support and mentoring.
Since 2014, over 200 Fellows have participated in the Global Teaching Fellowship Program. The collaborations have often proven transformative, not just for the Fellows who gain valuable teaching experiences and develop in their pedagogy, but also for the students and institutions where they teach, which are often mission-driven and/or under-resourced institutions.
Fellows currently teach in one of three settings:
- Self-Arranged Teaching. If you already plan to teach a course at another institution, you can apply to become a Global Teaching Fellow.
- Global Invisible University (GIU), an academic solidarity program growing out of the Invisible University for Ukraine, welcomes proposals for courses that could appeal to participants from multiple countries in Europe and Eurasia.
- Other Facilitated Teaching Placements. If you would like to teach but do not yet have a host institution, you can propose a course. The GTFP Team will try to identify possible host institutions or academic solidarity programs and forward relevant course ideas to them.
