CEU-FOCUS Courses and activities help you to improve your German and English professional and academic language skills. They will also help you learn new study skills, such as critical thinking, effective arguing, and seeing through misinformation. These activities offer the space and opportunity to discuss urgent questions of democracy and explore pressing matters of migration and citizenship. You can also take on various subjects ranging from using data for social analysis to placing Vienna in perspective.
Just as importantly, they help you explore different disciplines/subjects as you learn more about different study opportunities in Austria, Europe, and beyond.
The activities take place at CEU's campus in Vienna, as well as online.

Critical thinking in an era of misinformation (6 weeks beginning November 4, 2024, online, Mondays from 17:40 - 19:30)
We are all living through an age of information overload and the dangers of misinformation and fake news have impacted all spheres of public life. Through a series of discussions based on texts- audio, video and verbal content- we aim to equip you with skills and tools for using critical thinking tools in processing information in everyday life especially through different media platforms and networks.
