Applications for the 2024 CEU-UP Program are now open. Please read through the Call for Applications and Application Checklist before applying. No separate scholarship application is required.
All accepted, full-time students will receive a monthly stipend and full-tuition scholarship, with the exception of those who already receive support specifically for their education/studies.

How to Apply
Step 1: Research one or two English-language degree programs to which you would like to apply after the CEU-UP program. In your application, you will be asked to reflect on how the CEU-UP program will assist your further studies.
Step 2: Complete the CEU online application. You will be asked to upload several documents (see the Application Checklist for details).
Step 3: Shortlisted candidates will be invited to interview in mid-November.

Eligibility
CEU-UP accepts applications from individuals who meet all of the following requirements:
- Refugee status, have applied for asylum, or are in a refugee-like situation in Austria or have refugee status (or are in a refugee-like situation) in other countries in Switzerland or the European Economic Area with requisite residence permits. Please note that it is the responsibility of participants accepted to CEU-UP to complete the necessary formalities to study in Austria and to comply with any requirements in their current countries of residence. Limited assistance will be available;
- A strong interest in pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English
- B2 English, corresponding to upper-intermediate level, or above]
- A completed high school degree and ideally either a completed Bachelor’s degree (e.g,. BA or BSc) or substantial university coursework.
Women and those who identify outside of binary gender identities are typically under-represented in programs like ours and are particularly encouraged to apply.
